Introducing our vintage-inspired earrings with brilliant-cut diamonds and 8/8 size. Crafted in white gold, these earrings are all about class, elegance, sparkle and glamour and have a different touch, with their slightly asymmetrical design that evokes movement.
Surely made in the 80’s, these earrings take elements from earlier styles such as Belle Epoque and Art Deco, creating a modern, vintage-inspired piece . With a length of 5 cm, these earrings have an ideal length to complement the face and are a perfect piece for an elegant occasion, or even a wedding.
Two brilliant-cut diamonds of 0.25 cts each are the centrepiece of each earring, while 35 8/8-cut diamonds make up the accompanying set. The total carat weight of each earring is approximately 1 ct, with diamonds of varying sizes to suit the design.
Size 8/8, also known as Simple , was an evolution of the Tabla size. and one of the precursors of the current brilliant cut. It has 8 facets on the crown and 8 on the pavilion and was widely used in the past for smaller diamonds. For example, it is very common to find 8/8 cut diamonds in jewellery from the Belle Epoque and Art Deco periods. Nowadays even the smallest diamonds are cut in brilliant cut, but it is also possible to find modern vintage-inspired pieces such as our earrings, which use them.
